In 2006, the legendary wildlife expert was working on the documentary series Ocean’s Deadliest when he was attacked by a stingray off the coast of northern Australia. Terri and Steve first met back in 1991, when Terri stopped by at a small reptile park in Australia where Steve had been working as a zookeeper at the time. Bindi was only eight years old at the time of her father’s death, while Robert was two. November of 2003 found Steve filming a documentary off the coast of Baja California Peninsula in Mexico about sea lions.
